About
A little about me.
Hi there, I'm Bianca Corrêa! I'm a travesti and use she/her pronouns.
My hobbies include learning about topics in computer science, watching horror movies and playing video games.
I've been playing video games since I was 6yo and began competing around 13yo. I played against top players and teams in games like Call of Duty (rivalised MIBR back in 2010s), Monster Hunter (600+ hours in MH: World) and League of Legends (peaked top 1% in BR, played 10,000+ hours).
I really like asian horror moveis and A24 movies. My favorite horror movies are Alien: Romulus, Red Rooms, The Medium, The Wailing, and Nope.

In 2015, I enrolled in a Computer Science undergraduate course at IC-UFF in my hometown Niterói, Rio de Janeiro. I proceeded to fail most classes for a couple years but managed to graduate in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In my TCC "Uma Avaliação Do Twitter Baseada Em Privacidade, Segurança, Explicabilidade, Não Discriminação E Promoção De Valores Humanos", I wrote an essay on ethical issues in data products (especially AI products) and how it impacts end-users. You can read the text here, although I had to redact my deadname for privacy reasons.
I'm well-versed in a range of areas, such as Software Engineering, Product Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Distributed Systems and Engineering Leadership & Management.
Currently, I'm helping engineering orgs tackle gnarly, nasty Software Engineering challenges that keep people awake at night. If you happen to know a company or team that could use my help, feel free to contact me on LinkedIn.
